Prop 8 opponents have introduced bills in the California Assembly and Senate declaring that Proposition 8 is invalid. Although the bills are merely symbolic, and have no legal effect, they are being heard in the Senate and Assembly Judiciary Committees on Tuesday, February 17th. Write to the members of the California Judiciary Committees, and remind them that the people of California already voted. The definition of marriage is already settled, and it's their job to uphold the law, not challenge it.
Send a brief message to the members of the Assembly and Senate Judiciary Committees, urging them to respect the will of the people, especially on an issue as important as marriage.
