December 2, 2009 -- Today, the New York Senate voted 38-24 to reject a bill that would have legalized same-sex marriage in New York State. Senators voting no on the same-sex marriage bill are now in the crosshairs of same-sex marriage advocates who will work to persuade or replace them before the bill is reintroduced again (likely in 2011). If your state senator voted against same-sex marriage, please take a moment today to thank him or her for that courageous stand, even while being compared to Nazis or slaveholders by colleagues who disagreed with them. Please use the form below to send a message to your state senator. If your state senator is not listed, he or she voted in favor of same-sex marriage and no message needs to be sent at this time.
